Dr Luke Annetts
Veterinarian

Born and raised in Glen Innes, Luke developed a love of animals from a young age and has a keen interest in endurance horse riding. He studied to become a Veterinarian at Murdoch University in Perth and then worked in a mixed practice in Bundaberg after graduating. He then relocated closer to home when he made the move to run the clinic in Tenterfield. Luke enjoys the variety of mixed veterinary practice and the challenges it provides. His beloved dog, Belle (border collie x blue heeler), is often seen hanging out at the clinic with the rest of the team.

Dr Pip Johnston
Veterinarian

Pip has always been a great lover of horses, spending most of her younger years travelling the countryside doing bareback and bridleless demos on her horses, with her trusty dogs by her side. Pip and her husband, Paul, now live on a small property on the outskirts of Tenterfield, as well as running beef cattle on their properties at Old Bonalbo and Woodenbong. Their two girls, Jessica and Annabelle, and son, Tommy, share their parents' love of animals, which is lucky, because there is an ever-growing number of horses, dogs, cats, sheep and even a rescue rabbit!

Meg Donges
Kennel Hand

Meg has worked at the clinic since 2013 and is a very valuable asset to our team, working every Tuesday. You will also see Meg’s friendly face at The Tenterfield Preschool, where she also works. Meg is the proud owner of her border collie, Elly, who she enjoys taking for walks and bathing at home. Meg occasionally also treats Elly to a hydrobath bath at the clinic when she brings Elly in for her monthly weigh-in and flea tablet.

Annie Lickess

Professional Groomer

Annie joins the Clinic every Monday providing a professional grooming service that compliments an all-in-one pet service for dogs in Tenterfield.

Annie has her own grooming business in Tintenbar where she works three days a week until she permanently moves to Tenterfield.

Dr Ashley Johnston
Veterinarian

Ashley was born and bred here in Tenterfield on her family's cattle farm. She studied in Townsville at James Cook University and graduated in 2012. Her first job was a two-year stint in Kingaroy, focusing mainly on companion animals and gaining a wide range of experience. Ashley then worked in a mixed practice at Oakey for four years, working with both large and small animals. She enjoys the challenges and variety of mixed veterinary practice and is passionate about providing a high level of veterinary care on all cases, including within the veterinary hospital environment, ensuring the best possible outcome for your animal.

Lucinda Colley
Qualified Veterinary Nurse

Lucinda has worked at the practice since 2010, starting as a School– based Trainee. Now, having completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, she works with us as a qualified Veterinary Nurse and loves taking care of everyone's pets. Originally from Glen Innes, Lucinda now lives in Tenterfield with her cat, Colin, dog, Gus, and a couple of horses on her block on the outskirts of town. With a passion for campdraft, Lucinda is away most weekends with her horses. Being a family affair, she enjoys spending time with her parents and brother, as they are all competitors in the sport.

Matilda Mitchell Veterinary Nurse

Matilda began her veterinary nurse training with Tenterfield Veterinary Clinic as a school based trainee. She has developed into a dedicated, caring, compassionate and knowledgable nurse. Tilly keeps us all oragnised and assists with inventory and stock control, amongst many many other talents, including touch football, caring for her sisters and looking after her furry animals.

Marian Hansson Receptionist

Marian comes from an administration and reception background and takes care of all of our clients’ needs, working hard to find a solution for our clients and helping our vets and nurses’ days run smoothly.

Marian has a small property just out of Tenterfield with several alpacas and is enjoying building her garden on weekends.



Dr Laura Adams
Veterinarian

Tenterfield Veterinary Clinic has recently welcomed a new veterinarian. Laura gained a love of animals from a young age, and has grown up with horses, dogs, cattle and many other animals. Regular visits to her extended family’s farm in Tamworth saw that love of animals develop into a passion to pursue a career as a veterinarian. Laura studied in Townsville and following her study worked in mixed practice in far North West QLD, before deciding to move back down south. Laura has moved here with her Border Collie Wally and is looking to get active in the community with playing a few sports.  She is looking forward to meeting all of our wonderful clients and helping with your animals both large and small.

Tina Wolverson
Veterinary Nurse

Tina began Veterinary Nursing at Tenterfield Veterinary Clinic is 2021. Tina brings a wealth of knowledge having worked as a vet nurse in Armidale and Uralla over many years. In her spare time Tina spends time with her golden retriever dogs, which she takes for regular walks and to the occasional show. Tina also has a husband Nick, but he knows the dogs come first :-)

Joshua Petrie Veterinary Nurse

Joshua began his veterinary nursing qualification with Tenterfield Veterinary Clinic in 2022. Joshua is rapidly becoming a very valuable member of the team and is willing to try his hand at most things. Even the unpleasant parts of the job. Josh’s main interests are with horses and cattle, though he is equally capable of handing the smallies animals and keeping the clinic clean and our vets in check. Josh has a variety of animals with dogs and horses and cattle to keep him occupied on weekends.

Dr Claire Robinson

Veterinarian

Dr Claire graduated from the University of Queensland in 2021, once she graduated she jumped straight in to full-time veterinary work. Dr Claire loves all aspects of veterinary work. Claire has completed extra training in Equine Veterinary Dentistry and enjoys the relief from discomfort she can provide, by performing quality Equine Dentistry.

At home Dr Claire has a rescue cat called “Bagheera” who always likes a cuddle once Dr Claire is home. Originating from the Gold Coast Dr Claire loves to spend her spare time exploring the great outdoors. Or visiting family in Tasmania.
